Blood Drive to be Held at Cape Cod Museum of Natural History

BREWSTER – The Cape Cod Health Care Blood Center is partnering with the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History for a blood drive at the museum.

All donated stays on Cape Cod to serve Cape Cod Healthcare.

The healthcare system on Cape needs 10,000 pints of blood every year, but only 3,500 pints come from local donations. The other 6,500 must be purchased off-Cape at about $280 a pint.

Organizers say that donations take less than an hour.

The blood drive is set for December 13 from 10:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History.
