Blue Economy Project Team Adds Two Members

BARNSTABLE – The Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce and Cape Cod Commission have tapped two local entrepreneurs to lead the Blue Economy initiative’s team.

Leslie-Ann McGee, owner of the Full Sail Consulting, was hired as program manager and holds a similar position at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution’s Center for Marine Robotics.

Bert Jackson, president of the Cape Cod Technology Council, will serve as director of community engagement.

The Blue Economy initiative was introduced last year and serves as a frame for the region to develop a year-round economy based on marine resources and technology.

Governor Charlie Baker recently emphasized the importance of expanding the maritime economy on Cape Cod at a recent event in Woods Hole.
