Blues Concert to Benefit Falmouth Homelessness Prevention Program

FALMOUTH – A free end of summer blues concert will be held next month to benefit Falmouth Homelessness Prevention Program.

Blues and Views will be held August 28 at 6:30 p.m. at Falmouth’s Marine Park.

The concert will feature nationally recognized and award-winning blues artist Mark Small, of Somerset.

The event is free but donations will be accepted to support the homelessness prevention program in connection with the 3rd Annual Kirwin/Murray Tour de Falmouth Bike Ride.

“I am a huge fan of the various types of blues music and I love the outdoor concerts we have a Marine Park. It made sense to put the two of them together,” said Bill Maurer, the concert’s lead organizer. “We have a supremely talented musician this August. I think people are going to like him a lot.”

Concert goers are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, food, and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy a picnic atmosphere.
