BOSTON – All Boston July 4th Esplanade events, including the Boston Pops concert and fireworks, have been moved up to tomorrow, July 3 because of Tropical Storm Arthur.
The events being moved results in road closures tomorrow.
Storrow Drive will close at noon and Memorial Drive, Mass Ave Bridge and Longfellow Bridge will be closed at 6 p.m.
The public will be allowed to enter the Esplanade checkpoints at 5 p.m.
If there is a weather cancellation tomorrow, the city may consider having the event Saturday, July 5.
The State Police will give updates on its Facebook and Twitter accounts along with its news blog MSPnews.org should there be any more changes for the events.
