BOURNE – The State Police Bourne Barracks will be hosting a free child safety seat installation and check event on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event is being held in conjunction with Child Passenger Safety Week which runs from September 18-24.
Troopers trained in the car seat install methods and safety checks will make sure the seat is properly installed and will be available for questions.
Children under eight years of age or 57 inches must remain in a child seat or booster seat.
State Police are reminding the public that crashes are the leading causes of death for children 1-13 years of age.
Several car seats will be available for those in need of one.
