Bourne Town Administrator Departs

BOURNE – Tom Guerino has officially stepped down as Bourne town administrator.

He served the town for 14 years.

“The board and I came to a very amicable resolution to what could have been a very thorny situation over the past year or so. I want to express my appreciation during this transitional period for the professionalism that the board of selectmen have provided,” said Guerino.

“There has been a very high road taken by everybody on this and I want to thank the board very much for their understanding and their help during this transition as well.”

Assistant Town Administrator Glenn Cannon will be serving as acting town administrator until someone can be found for the position.

Cannon will begin his temporary tenure on October 1.

Judith Froman, chairwoman of the Board of Selectmen, thanked Guerino for ensuring that the Board would have everything it needed to function during the transitional process between Guerino and the next town administrator’s service.
