WAREHAM – A pair of state troopers from the Bourne barracks helped make the holiday season a happy one for an elderly couple.
Troopers Jonathan O’Loughlin and Kurt Bourdon responded on December 8 to help a couple walking along the breakdown lane of 495 in Wareham.
The couple was searching for a lost wedding ring with metal detectors, according to Lieutenant James Plath.
The ring was found after about an hour of searching near the three-mile mark.
The ring had family significance as the couple had been married for 46 years. The ring also included the wedding ring of the woman’s mother, according to Plath.
