COTUIT – Brazilian culture received worldwide attention with the 2016 summer games in Rio over the last two weeks and Cape Cod residents and visitors will be able to experience it in person without having to travel thousands of miles.

For the second straight year the Cotuit Center for the Arts and Brave Horse Music are presenting the Brazilian Cultural Festival in September.

The family friendly event will feature music, dance, art, vendors and food.

The headlining musical act is The Fernando Brandão Sextet from Boston.

Brandão has been a professor for 20 years at Berklee College of Music and is a composer-arranger and flautist.

Other musical acts include Cla Da Bossa Nova, which includes Rayssa Ribiero, a vocalist featured in last Sunday’s Pops by the Sea Concert pre-show.

The event will also include Brazilian lawn games for children and a free Brazilian food tasting from The Brazilian Grill.

Tables will also be set up for local merchants to sell artisan crafts.

Tickets are $28 for the festival which will be held at Cotuit Center for the Arts on Saturday, September 17. The event begins at 4:30 p.m.
