Brewster and Wareham Residents to Discuss Marijuana at Special Town Meetings

BREWSTER – Several recreational marijuana-related articles will be before Town Meeting voters Monday night in Brewster and Wareham.

Brewster voters will decide on zoning bylaws, which would restrict pot shops to three areas in town, and limiting the number of recreational and medicinal facilities to one each.

In Wareham, residents will vote on how many shops will be allowed and where they will be located.

Both towns will also vote on an additional 3 percent sales tax.

The special Town Meeting in Wareham is at 7 p.m. at the high school.

In Brewster, voters will gather at 7 p.m. at Stony Brook Elementary School.
