Brewster Church To Re-Build After Fire

constructionBREWSTER – A local church began a rebuilding process two years in the making yesterday.

The Cape Cod Bible Alliance Church in Brewster held a groundbreaking ceremony after their church was burned down by an arsonist in 2012.

Yesterday marked the two -year anniversary of the fire, which was started by 30 year old Adam Finnegan.

“Change and trial always test faith and resiliency, and there’s been a great response by so many people to rally together for this, to stick it through,” said Pastor Myron Heckman. “We’ve long anticipated this day. It’s a great celebration of having pulled together plans…this really marks the start of that.”

The new 18,000-square-foot facility should take about 18 months to build. Members of the congregation will be helping with the construction.
