Brewster Community Network Forum Series

KA_Brewster_Ladies' Library13_111615BREWSTER – The new Brewster Community Network has scheduled a series of public forums to bring together citizens and town officials for information exchange and open discussion of issues of interest to local residents, both year round and part time.

The first forum, “Medical Marijuana in Brewster,” will be held tomorrow from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Brewster Ladies Library.

The forum will feature a presentation by The Haven Center regarding its proposed dispensary on Route 6A, which would be the first on the Cape.

Town Administrator Mike Embury, Planning Board Chair Rick Judd and other invitees will be on hand to provide perspective on the state and local permitting process and other issues.

On April 16 from 9:30 to 11 a.m., BCN participants will coordinate with town officials to deliver a user-friendly “Town Planning and Construction Update” addressing roads, the coast and other important issues.

A “Candidate Forum” addressing competitive races for the Board of Selectmen and other town offices is scheduled for May 5 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

All the events are free and open to the public.
