Brewster Historical Society to Host Widow’s War Tours

BREWSTER – A popular tour will be held twice later this month by the Brewster Historical Society.

The Widow’s War Tour is based on Sally Gunning’s acclaimed historical novel.

Participants can follow in Widow Berry’s footsteps as they enjoy a narrated bus tour that describes the widow’s 1760s Satucket.

The tour, which begins at Windmill Village in Drummer Boy Park, includes three stops at scenic, historic locations along with refreshments at historic Hopkins House Bakery.

It will be followed by a book signing with the author following the tour.

A morning tour will be held from 9 a.m. until noon and an afternoon tour will be held from 1 to 4 p.m.

Tickets are $40 and $35 for historical society members. They can be purchased at brewsterhistoricalsociety.org.
