BREWSTER – The Brewster Ponds Coalition will hold their annual meeting later this month.

The gathering will include keynote speaker Tom Cambareri, the Water Resources Program Manager of the Cape Cod Commission.

Cambareri will provide a look at the future of Brewster Ponds and how they will be a part of the Cape Cod 208 Water Quality Management Plan.

He has 30 years of experience in water resource issues on the Cape and initiated the Cape’s first Pond and Lakes Stewardship conference in 2001.

“Tom is someone that I have great personal admiration for,” said Brewster Ponds Coalition President Karen Malkus-Benjamin. “Tom will share his deep knowledge of Cape Cod’s fresh water and we will hear for the first time about the future focus of Cape Cod’s 208 Water Quality Management Plan and the county’s role in helping Cape Cod’s ponds.”

The meeting is Thursday, October 29, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Brewster Ladies Library on Main Street and will include a review of accomplishments and the goals for next year.

A slate of board members will also be elected.
