Brewster Whitecaps Win Cape Cod Baseball League 2021 Championship

BREWSTER – The top two seeds in the East and West Divisions battled it out, but it was the Brewster Whitecaps who took home the championship for the Cape Cod Baseball League’s 2021 season.

Brewster defeated the Bourne Braves Wednesday night by a score of 10-6, clinching the sweep of the three-game title series.

Whitecaps outfielder Chad Castillo, who plays college baseball at California Baptist University, was named the Most Valuable Player of the playoffs.

This is Brewster’s third Cape League championship victory. The Whitecaps’ previous title was in 2017, when they also defeated Bourne.

Brewster swept both Harwich and Bourne in this year’s playoffs to become Cape League champions.
