YARMOUTH – Bridgewater State University is set to open a satellite campus in Yarmouth.
Plans call for the facility to open up in January.
Bridgewater State will partner with Cape Cod Community College to offer degree completion programs at a fraction of the cost of the traditional four year college experience, said the University’s Executive Vice President Frederick Clark Jr.
He said a smart college consumer could get a four-year degree for about $25,000 by taking two years at Cape Cod Community College and two more years at Bridgewater.
The university will lease and renovate the former McArthur Elementary School for their campus.
Clark said they expect about 400 students to use the facility initially, with plans calling for expansion shortly thereafter.
