Broadway Stars Come to Cotuit this Summer

COTUIT – Cape Cod will have a Broadway feel this summer as three stars make their way to Cotuit.

The Cotuit Center for the Arts presents Chita Rivera on July 17, Megan Hilty on July 31 and Sutton Foster on August 16.

Rivera has spent more than five decades in musical theater and has won two Tony awards. She is known for her roles of Anita in “West Side Story,” Rosie in “Bye Bye Birdie” and Velma in Chicago.

Hilty made her Broadway debut as Glinda in “Wicked.” She is also recognized for roles on the television shows “Smash” and the final season of “The Good Wife.”

Foster is also a two-time Tony Award-winner and a leading lady on Broadway. One of the wins was for her performance in “Thoroughly Modern Millie.” She has also performed as originating leads in six more Broadway shows.

Pianist Seth Rudetsky will perform and host the performances by Rivera and Hilty. He has played piano for several Broadway shows and has served as artistic producer and music director for five annual concerts benefiting the Actors fund.
