Brockton Man Arrested in Plymouth Trafficking Cocaine

drugsPLYMOUTH – A 28-year-old Brockton man was arrested yesterday in Plymouth for allegedly running from police and being in possession of cocaine.

Police say they stopped Robert P. Simeone Jr.’s Infiniti sedan on Commerce Way in Plymouth around 4:35 p.m. for motor vehicle violations.

During their encounter with Simeone, he attempted  to run from police as they located narcotics in Simeone’s possession.

After a brief foot chase, Simeone was captured.

As a result of an investigation, police found approximately 196 grams of suspected cocaine and 10 grams of suspected heroin.

In addition to the narcotics, Simeone was also in possession of over $11,000 in cash, believed to be in connection with the purchase and sale of narcotics.

Simeone was placed under arrest and brought to the Norwell Barracks for booking.

Simeone was charged with Trafficking in Cocaine (100-200 grams), Distributing a Class A Substance, Resisting Arrest, Window Obstructed/Nontransparent and Motor Vehicle Not Meeting RMV Safety Standards.

No bail was set for Simeone, but he is being held at the Plymouth County House of Correction, until his arraignment Monday morning at Plymouth District Court.
