Bullying Expert to Speak at Monomoy High School

HARWICH – An expert on bullying who has appeared on several national television programs will speak later this month at Monomoy Regional High School.

The Chatham PTO will present “Best Friends, Worst Enemies: Community, Friendship, Social Power, and Bullying in Childhood and Adolescence” with Michael Thompson, Ph.D.

The event on January 28 at 6 p.m. is a benefit for the playground project at Chatham Elementary School.

Thompson is a psychologist, author, speaker and consultant who specializes in children and families.

He has appeared on The Today Show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, 20/20, 60 Minutes, the Early Show and Good Morning America. Thompson has also been quoted in the New York Times, The Washington Post, Newsweek, Time and U.S. News and World Report.

Admission is $20 and tickets for the event can be purchased here. If tickets remain they will also be available at the door.

Childcare will be available from the high school’s National Honor Society. Parents attending who are in need of childcare are asked to email [email protected] with the number of children and their ages.
