Buzzards Bay Bypass Overnight Repaving Begins

BUZZARDS BAY – More road work is planned in the canal region this week.

MassDOT has launched an overnight roadway milling and repaving project on the Buzzards Bay bypass.

Work is planned between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. from now until Friday morning.

One lane in each direction will remain open. Police will be on hand to assist with traffic management during the work hours.

State officials are asking drivers to use caution while traveling through the construction zone.

Traffic in the canal region has been affected in recent days by the ongoing Sagamore Bridge lane restrictions. That project is scheduled to wrap up before Memorial Day.
