Buzzards Bay Coalition Lists 52 New Places to Check Out in 2019

BUZZARDS BAY – The Buzzards Bay Coalition is starting off 2019 by providing area residents with a listing of 52 new places to explore around the bay.

With the change of the calendar often comes a renewed interest in visiting new places and discovering new experiences. What better way to embrace the new year than to explore new and unseen sights right in the bay.

From Westport to Woods Hole, the Coalition lists 52 outdoor places worth checking out. Some of these spots may be new to you, while others might be old favorites that you love to visit again and again.

On Cape Cod, the Coalition suggests five Wareham locations, including the Westgate, Tweedy, and Horseshoe Mill/Birch Island Conservation Areas, the Great Neck Wildlife Sanctuary, and Onset and Lyman Beaches.

In Bourne, the Coalition lists that Little Buttermilk Bay Woods, the Cape Cod Canal Bikeway, Bourne Sisters Woodland, Lawrence Isand, Little Bay and Monks Park, Red Brook Pond Coservation Area, and the Four Ponds Conservation Area. Lyman Beach extends into the town as well.

Finally, in Falmouth, the Shining Sea Bikeway, Chapoquoit Beach, Beebe Woods, the Knob, Goodwill and Long Pond Parks, and Wing Pond, Bourne Farm,, and Cardozza Farm Woods.
