Cahoon Museum of American Art Announces New Contemporary Art Exhibits

COTUIT-  Welcome news for art lovers and creative experts alike here on the Cape, as the Cahoon Museum of American Art in Cotuit has announced the launch of ‘Streetside,’ a new public art project.

The new exhibit will include a section named ‘The Pollinators’ featuring artwork by thirteen regional contemporary artists. Works included in this exhibition will incorporate scientific, cultural, and aesthetic perspectives on the intricate natural process between plants and their pollinators.

A public celebration for Streetside will take place on Wednesday, June 13 from 3-4:00pm.

The Pollinators opens on Friday, June 8 with a public opening reception with the artists on Saturday, June 9 from 4:30-6:00pm.

All exhibits will take place at the Museum’s location at 4676 Falmouth Road in Cotuit.

The Museum is open six days a week, Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm and on Sunday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

Admission is $10 general, $8 for seniors and students, and free for museum members and children under 12.
