Cahoon Museum to Host Holiday Events, Raffle

COTUIT – The holiday season is underway and the Cahoon Museum of American Art will host two festive events next month, along with a holiday raffle to benefit the museum.

The Christmas in Cotuit Open House is Saturday, December 1 during museum hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The museum’s new exhibition, “Twisted, Twined and Woven,” a contemporary fiber art show, is featured in the main gallery.

Cider and cookies will be available, along with craft activities. The event coincides with Cotuit’s annual community Christmas celebration.

The Winter Wonders party is Friday, December 7 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The new museum event features live music by the Bart Weisman Jazz Group, holiday shopping, signature spirits and wine tasting, seasonal displays and current exhibits.

Tickets to the Winter Wonders Raffle are available during museum hours or by calling the museum.

The raffle package includes a framed print by American artist Herman Maril, an overnight stay at the White Porch Inn paired with a dinner at Fanizzi’s Restaurant in Provincetown, and a $250 gift card.

The drawing will be held at the Winter Wonders event. Tickets are $100 with all proceeds to benefit the museum’s educational initatives, exhibitions and community outreach programs.

Admission to the events is free and open to the public.
