Cape Abilities Receives $10K Grant

HYANNIS – Cape Abilities has been awarded grant funding to support its Employment & Vocational Skills Training program.

The Bank of America Charitable Foundation through its Economic Mobility for Individuals and Families initiative awarded $10,000 for the Cape Abilities program located at its Dennis farm.

Cape Abilities is a non-profit organization which provides services for individuals with disabilities across Cape Cod.

The program provides individuals with opportunities to build on their successes and gain self-confidence while developing skills to prepare them for the future.

“We are so grateful to have this support from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation,” said Rosalie Edes, president and executive director of Cape Abilities.

“This funding will allow for the utilization of a person-centered, vocational training approach, which incorporates the goals and interests of each individual in specifically designed skill development so that they can ultimately secure the jobs they desire and become active, contributors with their communities.”
