Cape and Islands Behavioral Health Summit to be Held in Hyannis

resort-and-conference-center-hyannisHYANNIS – The fourth annual Cape Cod and Islands Behavioral Health Summit will be held next week.

The day-long conference, organized by the Behavioral Health Provider Coalition of Cape Cod and the Islands, will feature nationally-known presenters and three breakout sessions.

The summit is Friday from 8 to 4 p.m. at the Resort and Conference Center in Hyannis.

The events presenters will be Mark Vonnegut, MD, the author of “The Eden Express” and “Just Like Someone Without Mental Illness Only More So,” and the Director at Cutchins Program for Children and Families.

“I am always inspired by the energy our community of providers exhibit at our summit,” said Diane Wolsieffer, APRN, a Cape Cod Healthcare Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and member of the organizing committee for the Behavioral Health Provider Coalition of Cape Cod and the Islands. “The speakers this year will target the many behavioral health challenges facing the Cape Cod community, and our breakout sessions will showcase innovative programs that are working to assist individuals and their families in finding healthier paths.”

Registration for the event will be held from 8 to 8:30 a.m. in the ballroom foyer, with a welcome and introductions starting at 8:30 in the Grand Ballroom.
