CENTERVILLE – The Cape and Islands United Way is now accepting applications for its latest round of Community Grant Funding.
The program is open to human service organizations in Barnstable, Dukes and Nantucket Counties, and they may apply for up to $25,000 in program funding.
“We’re really looking for programs that are human service programs supporting health, education, housing, and financial stability,” said Barbara Milligan, Cape and Islands United Way President and CEO.
Additionally, the United Way is also offering one-time funding of $500 to $2,500 through its Mobilizing Volunteers Micro Grant Program, to support volunteer projects that improve the community and encourage engagement.
“We’re really just looking to try and support and encourage volunteerism in the community through that program,” Milligan said.
The application deadline is October 20, and can be completed online at www.uwcapecod.org/grants.
