Cape and Islands United Way Launches New Volunteer Matching Website

unitedWayHYANNIS – The Cape and Islands United Way has announced the launch of their new Cape Cod Volunteers Matching Website.

The new website’s online volunteer matching platform showcases volunteer opportunities from local nonprofits, schools and agencies and enables local residents to browse and pursue volunteer positions across the Cape.

The website address remains the same capecodvolunteers.org.

Enhancements to the site offer volunteers the ability to search and sign-up for service opportunities with ease using a simple user-friendly design.

The new site also features volunteer profiles, volunteer time tracking, a volunteer resume generator, and organizational impact pages.

“Volunteerism has been the heart and soul of the United Way for decades,” said Cape and Islands United Way CEO Barbara Milligan. “We believe that helping our local organizations build their human resource capacity through volunteerism is as important as providing the financial resources we have long been known for.”

With a network of more than 200 nonprofit organizations listed in Cape Cod Volunteers’ database, volunteers can connect with opportunities that fit their interests and schedule.

The site includes a section with opportunities for families to volunteer, and for civic positions, such as town boards and committees, to be posted.

The new website was made possible by a grant from the Bilezikian Family Foundation.
