BARNSTABLE – NASA Astronaut Daniel Burbank will speak on April 5 at 3 p.m. in Lecture Hall A of the Science Building at Cape Cod Community College.
Burbank, who logged 188 days in space on missions aboard the space shuttle Atlantis and within the International Space Station, comes to campus as part of its college-wide reading initiative called “One College, One Book.”
Burbank considers Yarmouth Port home and he joined the astronaut corps in 1996, serving as Mission Specialist on space shuttle flights STS-106 and STS-115.
He also served as Flight Engineer on Expedition 29 to the International Space Station and commander of Expedition 30.
