BOURNE – A helicopter crew from Air Station Cape Cod responded to the Merrimack River yesterday after a boat capsized, sending two people into the water.

The aircrew was called in to search for those people near the mouth of the river, but a nearby vessel found the victims and pulled them safely from the water.

The incident is still under investigation.

The Coast Guard has thanked the good Samaritans for their efforts in rescuing those boaters.
