HYANNIS – Representatives from state and local agencies devoted to environmental protection, access and restoration will be present in Hyannis next month to discuss Cape Cod’s foremost environmental issues.
The 4th Annual Cape Coastal Conference will be open to concerned citizens, local officials, municipal staff, business people and consultants to engage with experts on issues such as water resources, fisheries, the Blue Economy, marine technology, coastal ecosystem health and restoration, climate change, sea level rise, storm preparation and more.
Executive Director Lindsey Counsell said the event will put science, history and economic strategy to work.
“It’ll be a great time to get together and meet with folks who are on the cutting edge of environmental issues,” he said.
Experts from the Cape Cod Commission, the Waquoit Bay Reserve Coastal Training Program, Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, Three Bays Preservation, Inc., Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and more will be present.
Updates on the latest environmental technology will also be given, Counsell said.
The event will take place on December 6 and 7 at the Hyannis Resort and Conference Center.
