Cape Cod Academy Expands It’s Visual and Performing Arts Programs

OSTERVILLE- As part of a multi-year investment in the visual & performing arts, Cape Cod Academy has announced the hiring of a new Drama Director Jay Stewart and Arts Department Chairman Mark Bistline, as well as the addition of a new black box theatre on campus.

The black box is dedicated to the memory of Liam O’Keefe-Hoeck, son of long-time CCA trustee Jim Hoeck and Tara O’Keefe and serves as a collaborative stage for drama productions among other functions.

Mark Bistline accepted the position of Visual Arts Teacher and Arts Department Chair for grades kindergarten thru grade 12, while Jay Stewart has been appointed to the position of Drama Director, a new position intended to expand and improve the school’s current program.

Over the last two years, CCA has recruited three additional faculty to increase the school’s ability to offer strings, band, jazz ensemble, and chorus.  Additionally, CCA has expanded the drama program to offer three seasons of plays.

To close this school year with momentum for the coming school year’s performing arts program, new Drama Director, Jay Stewart, will produce a one-act comedy this spring.

Cape Cod Academy is a K through 12 independent day school in Osterville.
