Cape Cod Association Appoints New Board Members

SOUTH YARMOUTH-  One of the oldest and largest independent scholarship funds in New England, the Cape Cod Association, has appointed to new members to their Board of Directors

Sherry Greene-Starr and John Fulone will now take the reins in assisting to run the program.

Throughout her career, Greene-Starr has worked extensively in early childhood education and the mental health industry. Currently, she serves as a library assistant at Barnstable-West Barnstable Elementary School.

Fulone has nearly three decades of banking experience and a demonstrated commitment to community service while serving as the Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer for The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod in Hyannis.

“We are honored to have two individuals who are so invested in the community join our efforts to support today’s students who will, in turn, become tomorrow’s leaders,” said David W. (Woody) Foster, Jr., President of the CCA Board of Directors.

The Cape Cod Association is a supporting organization of The Cape Cod Foundation, a community foundation whose mission is to build permanent charitable resources for community betterment through informed grant making and civic leadership. The Foundation has distributed nearly $65 million in grants and scholarships since its founding in 1989.

Last year, the Association awarded more than $430,000 in scholarships to 286 local students.
