Cape Cod Boys & Girls Club to Premier Award Winning ‘Green Book’

MASHPEE – The Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod has announced that they will be holding the Cape Cod Premier of the Green Book, an award winning Peter Farrelly movie.

Green Book is a comedy-drama film about a tour of the Deep South in the 1960s by Jamaican-American classical pianist Don Shirley (Mahershala Ali) and New York bouncer Tony Lip (Viggo Mortensen), who served as Shirley’s driver and security.

Immediately following the movie, a cash bar and free hors d’oeuvres will be offered at the 99 Restaurant & Pub in Mashpee.

All proceeds from the event will go to benefit 1,136 Cape Cod children and teenagers at the Boys & Girls Club, providing them with valuable programs in a safe place during the high-risk out of school hours in the summer and winter months.

The fun starts on at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 18 at the Regal Cinemas in Mashpee.

Tickets for both the movie and after-party are $30 and can be purchased by calling the Boys & Girls Club at 508-477-8845.
