Cape Cod Chamber Holding J-1 Visa Forum

HARWICH – The Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce will hold a community forum on the J-1 visa program later this month in Harwich.

Employers and community leaders looking to learn more about the program that brings summer workers to the Cape each year are invited to the free event.

Attendees will hear from J-1 visa sponsors and some of the employers who have hired the workers in the past.

Each year, the Cape gets roughly 3,000 J-1 recipients, who work for a maximum of four months and have up to one month to travel around the United States.

The forum is scheduled for the Harwich Community Center on April 17 from 2 to 4:30 p.m.

Registration is available online at www.capeislandsj12018.eventbrite.com.
