HARWICH PORT – The region’s newest professional orchestra kicks off its inaugural full season of performances later this month in Harwich Port.
The Cape Cod Chamber Orchestra will begin its season “Navigations” with “Music Through Art” on Sunday, September 30 at 3 p.m. at Pilgrim Congregational Church.
The immersive collaboration of art and music is a unique partnership with the Guild of Harwich Artists.
The mixed music/media experience showcases the orchestra’s composer-in-residence Francis Snyder’s latest commission. The composition inspired the artwork of Guild of Harwich members, whose fine art will premiere during the concert.
Works from Ravel and Schubert will also be featured.
Tickets for “Music Through Art” are $30 general admission, $35 at the door and $15 for students 12 years old through college.
