Grandmothers Against Gun Violence To Host Candidate for Lieutenant Gov. Jimmy Tingle

HYANNIS – The Cape Cod Chapter of Grandmothers Against Gun Violence will host social/political humorist, activist, and Democratic candidate for Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor, Jimmy Tingle during their meeting this month.

Tingle, who was an early supporter of the organization, has long been a voice for gun violence prevention, and enforcement of gun legislation.

He plans on running as a Democrat.

A graduate of South Eastern Massachusetts University, the Massachusetts-born stand-up comedian has also been a producer, writer, satirist, film maker and commentator. Tingle earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration at the Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government in 2010.

The meeting will get underway July 11th at 10:30 a.m. at the Cape Cod Synagogue, on 145 Winter Street.
