Cape Cod Child Development Announces New Parent Company ‘Family Links’

HYANNIS – Cape Cod Child Development announced the creation of a new parent company name: ‘Family Links’, which will represent the broader partnerships and vision that have evolved during CCCDP’s 47 year history.

“Our organization went through a strategic planning process where one of the things that we identified was that the name Cape Cod Child Development did not fit the full scope of services that we offered,” said Family Links CEO Anne Colwell.

“We also, during that process, identified that we wanted to create more strategic partnerships, and really grow that family advocacy process through acquisitions.”

As the Family Links organization develops over the next year, some shared services for the three organizations may be folded under the Family Links umbrella.

“We will still use the name Cape Cod Child Development for all of the existing programs that we currently have. That will become ‘Cape Cod Child Development, an affiliate of Family Links,”

Although the changes have been implemented, all will maintain their existing separate corporate entities and finances.

“The museum will be known as ‘Cape Cod Children’s Museum, an affiliate of Family Link’s, and Shay’s Youth Basketball Association will become known as an affiliate of Family Links as well,” said Colwell.

The new base name was developed as a result of CCCDP’s strategic plan, through several months of landscape research and brand development work led by Rose Resnik and Associates, who engaged the CCCDP board, partner organizations and other stakeholders in several community input sessions.
