Cape Cod Coffee Expands to Mashpee Commons

MASHPEE–Cape Cod Coffee held a ribbon cutting ceremony to honor the opening of their newest location in Mashpee Commons on Wednesday.

The new location is four times bigger than the shop the company original had in Mashpee Commons, according to co-owner Jan Aggerback. Aggerback and his wife Pam bought Cape Cod Coffee in 2015 after moving to the Cape permanently a year prior, and have since grown the company exponentially.

“We’re probably growing a little bit faster than I anticipated, especially over the last couple of months,” Jan said.

“It’s been better than we’ve anticipated; we started with four employees and now we have more than 40…We hope to even be much bigger by the same time next year.”

The new shop offers an expanded menu for both breakfast and lunch, as well as a full bar with local drink options, to go along with over 30 different types of coffee.

Jan said even with the company’s growth, the goal has remained the same.

“Making sure we’re providing quality coffee and consistency, and being being able to service not just the Cape now, but also off-Cape. We’re getting into New England as well, which is excited, so it’s all positive all the way around,” he continued.

Cape Cod Coffee is also planning to move their roasting facility to a new industrial complex on Main Street, off of Route 130, to progress their wholesale offerings to markets outside of the Cape.
