Cape Cod Coffee Opens New Barnstable Airport Location

HYANNIS – Cape Cod Coffee’s new location at the Barnstable Municipal Airport was officially unveiled to the public Monday afternoon.

The café and whole shale coffee shop occupies the former Centerville Pie Company airport location which opted against renewing their lease with the airport commission after just over a year.

“We are very excited to be at the airport and we believe it’s a perfect fit for us as we continue to build out brand and customer loyalty throughout New England,” said owner Jan Aggerback, who runs Cape Cod Coffee with his wife, Pam.

The Mashpee based company has been in business for 47 years and operates a cafe at Mashpee Commons as well as their production plant also located in the town.

Aggerback says that the airport location is ideal for getting the word out about their wholesale based business.

“We are thrilled to have Cape Cod Coffee as our new partner and look forward to the smell of fresh coffee throughout the terminal,” Airport Manager Bud Breault said at the announcement of the agreement.

In addition to coffee, the location will sell pastries, bagels, grab and go salads, muffins, sandwiches, and chips. They additional expect to receive a liquor license, at which point they will offer locally manufactured libations including Cape Cod Beer and Cape made wine.
