Cape Cod Commission Recognizes Barnstable Representative

HYANNIS – Barnstable’s representative on the Cape Cod Commission was recognized last month for more than a decade of dedicated service.

Royden Richardson represented the town on the Commission from April 2006 through last month.

Along with his work on the Commission, Richardson served in town government for many decades including terms as Town Council President.

Initiatives worked on by Richardson include the mini-grant program to non-profits in the Seven Villages through the Tourism Grant and the Town of Barnstable’s flag.

Town Manager Mark Ells said Richardson’s roles with numerous health and human service agencies, including the CHIPs House, Salvation Army and the Community Action Committee, should also be commended.
