Hearing Process to Close on Proposed Eastham Dollar General Project After No Proposal Was Submitted

EASTHAM – The Cape Cod Commission will close the hearing process this month into a proposal to build a Dollar General in Eastham after no formal application was ever submitted.

When the development was announced, there was a strong outcry against it by Eastham residents.

Since referral to the Commission by the Eastham Board of Selectmen as a discretionary Development of Regional Impact and the Commission’s vote to accept the project for review, no application had been submitted.

The December 14th hearing will be for consideration of a procedural denial of the project.
