WEST BARNSTABLE – Cape Cod Community College is opening its arms to students shut out of two ITT Technical Institute campuses that recently closed abruptly.

The college is joining other community colleges across the state to work towards offering students for ITT Tech’s Norwood and Wilmington campuses new career paths.

“We’re very concerned for the students, many of whom at this point have acquired significant financial debt,” said John Cox, the President of Cape Cod Community College.

Cox said there will be students from those locations returning to this region after the closures.

“We want to talk to them about a variety of options open to them,” Cox said. “They don’t have to lose momentum in their education, and miss the entire Fall semester simply because of this unfortunate situation.”

Students can contact Matt Cormier, the director of admissions, by phone at 774-330-4466 or by email at [email protected], to begin the process of transition.

“We have many possibilities to explore with them, from short-term career-focused training, to academic transfer into a wide variety of degree programs, including the newly launched Commonwealth Commitment,” Cox said.

New courses at Cape Cod Community College start on October 31.
