Cape Cod Council of Churches Summer Appeal Under Way

HYANNIS – The Cape Cod Council of Churches is currently holding their annual Summer Appeal.

This event raises money for their programs that help less fortunate people across Cape Cod and the Islands.

Edye Nesmith, Executive Director of the Cape Cod Council of Churches, broke down the scope of their work.

“Each year we serve over 7,500 individuals through six different areas of programming,” Nesmith said.

Cape Cod Council of Churches provides services such as baby care, food kitchens, a youth street reach program, and assistance at local hospitals.

“The council serves an opportunity for the faith community and the broader community to join hands together,” Nesmith said, “to make a real difference in the lives of neighbors who are struggling.”

The council is seeking $10,000 during this year’s Appeal. To donate or to learn more about the council, visit www.capecodcouncilofchurches.org. Donations can also be sent via check to 320 Main Street, Hyannis, MA, 02601.
