Cape Cod Electric Car Show to be Held Next Month

HYANNIS–The Cape and Vineyard Electric Cooperative will be hosting an Electric Car Show and Drive Experience at the Barnstable Municipal Airport.

In honor of National Drive Electric Week, auto dealers will showcase electric and plug-in hybrid cars and offer test drives.

Liz Argo, Manager of the Cape and Vineyard Electric Cooperative, argued how beneficial it is to purchase an electric car.

“There really isn’t much reason not to go electric at this point. A: you’re helping with the issues with climate change and carbon emissions. But B: the economics play out so well in your favor,” Argo explained.

Those who are unaware of what types of electric cars there are or are unsure of where to purchase one are still invited to attend.

“We will have people to talk to you about charging stations for your home, and availability across the Cape–and even across the bridge,” Argo continued.

The event will be on September 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. Admission is free. For more information, visit www.capecodevcarshow.com.
