Cape Cod Foundation Appoints First Ever Director of Operations

SOUTH YARMOUTH – The Cape Cod Foundation recently appointed its first Director of Operations.

The Foundation has selected Tracy Kramer, of Barnstable, as the first to fill the position with over a decade of experience in operational management.

Kramer was most recently a Project Manager for Emerald Physicians, a member of Cape Cod Healthcare, Inc. in Hyannis. In that role, she helped integrate five established medical practices into the Emerald Physicians’ Group and co-managed 13 separate medical offices, which included 51 medical providers and an administrative staff.

She also created and implemented staff policies and training systems for new hires and directed multiple project teams that enabled organizational growth and operational efficiencies.

Kramer earned a BA in Law and Society from American University in Washington, DC. Upon graduation, she worked as a Crime Scene Investigator for the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office for eight years before transitioning into the field of operational management.

Kramer, a native Cape Codder, grew up in Barnstable, where she now lives with her husband and two children.

“I was looking for a position that would fulfill my professional goals and focus on community service,” said Kramer.

“Because the Foundation has such a broad purview and impact, I’ll be helping multiple nonprofit organizations succeed every day, while ensuring the Foundation achieves its organizational goals.”

Kramer will work closely with Cape Cod Foundation President and CEO Kristin O’Malley to execute the organization’s strategic plan. She will be responsible for directing the Foundation’s multi-disciplinary team and building effective operations and programs that lead to high performance at all levels of the organization.

“The Foundation has just entered its thirtieth year,” said O’Malley.

“It’s been an era of tremendous ambition and tremendous growth. That’s why we need to add another powerhouse to our team. Tracy’s extensive experience, strong leadership skills, and roots in the Cape Cod community will help us optimize our operations to expand our impact throughout the region. We are fortunate to have her on our small but mighty team.”
