Cape Cod Foundation Establishes New Sandwich Based Fund

TownNeckBeachSANDWICH – A new fund will benefit the town of Sandwich.

The Cape Cod Foundation has formed The Sandwich Fund, which will raise money and will award grants to non-profits in town.

“As the first impression for visitors to Cape Cod, Sandwich is known to many for its historic ties and scenic vistas. The Sandwich Fund will serve to protect all those facets that residents cherish, while working to address the challenges that face most Cape communities,” said Kristen O’Malley, the Executive Director of The Cape Cod Foundation.

“By partnering with The Cape Cod Foundation in this endeavor, we gain over 25 years of civic leadership and informed grantmaking experience. We are thrilled to provide our knowledge and love of Sandwich to the process as we work within the community to build our philanthropic resources,” said Debra Davies, the chair of the Sandwich Fund Advisory Group and the owner of the Bee-Hive Tavern.

The fund will be a permanent endowment of the Cape Cod Foundation, which has handed out over $52 million in grants across the Cape since its founding in 1989.
