HYANNIS – To meet an urgent need for blood donations, a number of blood drives are being held across Cape Cod in August to benefit Cape Cod Healthcare.
Cape Cod Hospital and Falmouth Hospital must have at least one week’s worth of blood on hand at all times with all blood collected at blood drives staying on the Cape to help residents.
Everyone who donates blood in August will receive a free carton of ice cream from Friendly’s.
Also, high school students and recent graduates who donate blood before August 31 can enter to win an iPad Mini that comes with an autographed Meghan Trainor CD and movie Tickets.
