HYANNIS – Cape Cod Healthcare is getting into the heart business.
The parent company of Cape Cod Hospital and Falmouth Hospital acquired a cardiovascular physician practice and is opening a new Heart & Vascular Institute as a result.
The new institute is a partnership between Cape Cod Healthcare and cardiovascular physician specialists on Cape Cod.
The new Institute will be staffed by board-certified cardiovascular specialists.
“The Heart & Vascular Institute allows us to bring forth colleagues from a whole host of areas to provide comprehensive, state-of-the-art care to patients,” said Cape Cod Hospital Interventional Cardiologist Richard Zelman, MD, FACC. “We have the means to care for patients quickly, expeditiously and safely in order to get patients home to their families and back to their lives as soon as possible.”

“We’ve approached this new Institute in a real multi-disciplined fashion,” said
Interventional Radiologist Philip Dombrowski, MD, who practices at Cape Cod Hospital and
Falmouth Hospital. “We’ve been able to really work together to build the program and to bring
new and innovative technology here.”
