HYANNIS – Cape Cod Healthcare is looking for individuals interested in donating platelets.
Platelets are useful for patients with weakened immune systems or who are suffering from blood clot issues.
The entire process lasts approximately two hours. The hospital advises interested donors to not have any aspirin products within 24 hours of donating.
Interested donors can contact the hospital’s Blood Donor Center at 508-86-BLOOD (508-862-5663) for more information or to make an appointment.
Appointments are available Monday through Friday and various weekends.
