Cape Cod Healthcare Seeks Community Benefits Grant Proposals

HYANNIS – Cape Cod Healthcare is seeking proposals through its annual competitive grant process.

The Community Benefits grant program is open to all non-profit organizations to address the unmet health needs of the residents of Barnstable County.

Proposals for Fiscal Year 2020 must address improving physical health conditions through initiatives supporting chronic and infectious disease management and prevention.

The proposals should advance the ability of hospitals and healthcare systems to increase quality of life, reduce the severity of disease and lessen occurrences of mortality.

Priority will also be given to projects that propose strategies that address the needs of vulnerable populations with attention to the cross-cutting themes of the region’s aging population and access to healthcare.

“Cape Cod Healthcare’s Community Benefits program, through its strategic grant initiative, is working with local partners to advance a healthier Cape Cod,” said Paul Niedzwiecki, vice president of strategy and government affairs for Cape Cod Healthcare.

“Improving the health of our community is essential to enhancing the quality of life for residents, and supporting the social and economic well-being of the region.”

The FY2020 Annual Strategic Grants program will award up to $300,000 with awards ranging from $15,000 to $30,000.

The deadline for submitting proposals is September 13. Grant selection will be finalized in November 2019 by the CCHC Community Health Committee.
