Cape Cod Low Vision Summit to Provide Resources for Seniors

Cape Cod Low Vision SummitSOUTH YARMOUTH – A free public summit will be held Thursday in South Yarmouth to help provide information for seniors with low or impaired vision.

The Cape Cod Low Vision Summit will feature short presentations focused on education and available resources and can be beneficial for seniors, families, caregivers and industry professionals.

Representatives from the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind, Massachusetts Office on Disability and Perkins School Library will be in attendance.

An optometrist will present the benefits of low vision exams and the founder of Adaptivision will discuss adaptive aids.

Support services and programs will also be presented by local experts from Sight Loss Services and VITAL, Vision Impaired Technology Assistance at the Library.

The presentations will follow a continental breakfast.
